Teaching Rooms

Each teaching studio is equipped with an authentic guitar amp - either a Marshall Valvestate, a Marshall head and quad box or a Fender twin amp. So you'll hear your guitar as it should sound. Sometimes clean, other times with that great distorted sound.

Each teaching studio also has a computer. This allows for playing along to CD's. Songs can be slowed down and looped to get them just right. We can also burn practice CD's to take home.

The Waiting Room

Somewhere comfortable to sit and wait. There are plenty of recent guitar related magazines and books to catch up on.

Reheasal room.

The room is equipped with a PA (including powered mixing desk, speakers, two microphones with stands and monitors), drums and two guitar amps. There will also be a computer for playing CD's, MP3's and backing tracks. You can use the software to slow songs down, change keys and loop sections. By slowing down and looping sections you will be really able to master sections of songs. The room is also air conditioned for added comfort.

It could be used for such things as -

1. Individual guitar practice. You could play along to your favourite songs using the computer and a guitar amp. You could have the volume up a reasonable level to get a great feel. This would be a great way to practice your soloing. Use the backing tracks on the computer and go for it! Why not hire the room before or after your lesson?

2. Individual voice practice. You could sing along to your favourite songs using the computer and the PA. You could use the full version of the song, or a backing track without the vocals. Really hear your voice through the front of house speakers and fold backs. This way you'll hear yourself very clearly and be able to make adjustment here and there to get a better performance. Why not hire the room before or after your lesson?

3. Group practice. Get your band to have a full rehearsal in the room. Most of the gear is supplied. Other rehearsal rooms only have a PA. The band can play along to the CD / MP3 of the song you are currently working on. The software on the computer will allow you to loop and also slow down sections so that the band can really nail individual parts of the song.

The room will be available for hire 7 days a week. Practices are to finish at 9.00 p.m. on week nights. The room will be available for mornings and afternoons on the weekends (but not the weekend nights.)
