2. BETWEEN CHORD TRICKS.
(a) SAME STRING - DIFFERENT NOTE.
To enhance alternating bass look to use a pattern
that will give different notes on the same bass
string when you are changing chords.
The first step is to draw a resource table of the
chords you will be working with. The table
consists of the bass string number on the left
hand side, while the fret number of each chord is
shown under their names.
Lets do that for G, C, D (x means no note on that
string).

So you can see that the sixth string would be of
no use, as only one of the chords has a sixth bass
note.
The fifth string is promising as each chord is in a
different fret.
The fourth string change between G and D would
yield no benefit as they both have the open fret,
though changing from either G or D, to C you
could highlight this string.
