(e) Spare Finger/s -
if a finger or fingers are
not being used in the old chord but will be used in
the new chord get them ready to put down. Have
the spare finger/s waiting above their new spot
ready to go down e.g. finger 1 from G to C, and
finger 4 from C to G. Some spare fingers can
even go down behind the old chord without
affecting its sound e.g. finger 1 from A to E.
(f) Leading Finger -
this finger guides the
other fingers in mid air when changing
chords. It is generally the finger that has to
travel the furtherest e.g. finger 2 between A
and D.
