CHORD BOXES
Chord boxes are used to show the shape of
chords you will have to learn. Below is an
explanation of how the chord boxes are
written.

Notes
1. The strings run down the page. Notice how
the relative sizes of the strings are shown.
String six, the thickest, is on the left.
2. Frets run across the page. The first fret is
the top space.
3. Fingers are shown by the dots or slashes.
4. Numbers on top of the box refer to
the finger numbers you must use.
5. Letters on top of the box refer to -
O = Open string. No finger is used on this
string but the string is to be included when you
strum the chord.
X = Don't strum this string.
Therefore you must strum the strings with a
finger on it as well as the open strings. Any
string marked with an X must not be strummed.
