Welcome to the online area of our Chords 1 Guitar Book.

The whole aim of this level is turn you into a competent busker / party / BBQ type player. Imagine the fun you will have with your family and friends playing a few songs. We work on basic open chords and strum patterns.

Two stumbling blocks for beginners are learning the chords and even more so changing chords. We have a unique way of getting beginners through this. The tricks and exercises will have you playing the chords and changing chords like a pro before you know it.

All the exercises here match up to what is in your copy of the chords 1 book. You can either use a print copy or the online copy.

By playing along with the exercises here you will learn quite a bit faster, plus it's a lot more fun!!

Musical Brain -

The aim of these drills to increase your fun from music. Because you'll understand the sounds of music more you'll have more fun.  

The two main areas we'll be working on are pitch and rhythm. Having better rhythm will help you keep your playing at a constant pace. You'll also learn to read basic note values, so you'll be able to read strum patterns more easily.
Having a better ear will help you learn songs from CD's. How cool would it be to listen to a CD and then be able to play it?
